Tour
Description
*Transfer
from airport/hotel to dock. Board M/V Arca. Lunch.
Afternoon stop at Yanamono to visit a sugarcane rum still and
sample the various drinks, and molasses, made here. Continue sailing
down river. During dinner the guide will tell you of the next
day’s activities. Enjoy the stunning display of stars from
the upper observation deck or relax in the bar/lounge and get
to know your traveling companions.
Early
wake up call with time for a cup of coffee or tea before setting
out in one of the excursion boats for a bird watching trip on
the Ampiyacu River. Your guide will point out a wide variety of
birds and tell you of their habits. Return to ship for breakfast.
Go
ashore to visit a Bora/Huitoto Indian Village and see how these
people live. You will also have the opportunity to see and buy/trade
for their handicrafts. Return to ship for brief sail down to the
small town of Pevas. Visit the studio/gallery of a well known
peruvian painter. After lunch there will be a jungle walk at the
Shishita River where your guide will describe and explain many
of the trees and plants used by the local people.
Opportunity
to see some rain forest wildlife. Back on board the ship for dinner.
Depending on weather, take an excursion by small boat to look
for caiman and listen to the sounds of the rain forest.
Morning
jungle walk to visit the small village of Paranaquiro and see
how the local people live in harmony with the rain forest. After
this will be a piranha fishing expedition by small boat to a scenic
black-water lake.
After
lunch on board a stop to visit and walk around the town of Caballo
Cocha which is located on the lake of the same name. After dinner
take an excursion by boat to spot caiman and listen to the sounds
of the rainforest, possibly see some of the wildlife that only
comes out at night.

4: Wednesday Santa Rosa Island

Early
morning arrival at Santa Rosa Island, Peru, where the borders
of Peru/Colombia/Brazil meet.
Passengers taking only the down river portion of the cruise will
be transferred to airport or hotel. The rest of the passengers
will return to the ship at noon.

Arca: Your
home for 4 days
|
"El Arca" is a boat made by iron helmet and the foundations
are made by wood and iron, this ship represents what an "Amazonian
Boat" is, since its design that was inspired by the rubber
time in Iquitos. It was rebuilt in 1988 and reshape for a better
comfort in 2001.
This ship has a capacity for 20 passengers who will comfortably
travelling in cabins with conditioned air and own bath, these
cabins were made by mahogany and cedar, have comfortable beds,
windows with a beautiful view to the river.
There is a dining room with conditioned air where the passengers
will be able to enjoy delicious dishes from our country; these
dishes will be done by hands of a 15 years experience cook.
The ship has a bar with varied drinks and beers. You will able
to taste beer and cocktails from Peru. In the third deck "El
Arca" has a hall for hammocks where you will be able to rest
and to enjoy the Amazonian breeze.
In the prow the boat has a viewing point where you will enjoy
the Amazonian sunset. During the trip we count on a working team
specialized in attention to tourist, who offer support to tourist
every moment that You ask for it, we had bilingual guides (English
/Spanish).
This guides have big knowledge about the Peruvian rainforest,
they have 15 years of experience, they know the benefits and the
dangers that represent to enter in the dense Amazonian forest.
